Stevens Receives FAA-PMA for Gogo Galileo HDX Installation Kits for King Air

Greenville, S.C. - Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems, LLC (Stevens) is pleased to announce that they have received FAA-PMA approval for their installation kits to install Gogo’s Galileo HDX global high-speed internet system for King Air 200 and 300 series aircraft. The FAA-PMA kit includes an antenna radius adapter and structural parts to install the HDX antenna, SCS, ACM, relay, and ethernet port. “As the leading King Air MRO, we are excited to offer these FAA-PMA approved installation kits to Gogo authorized dealers and bring this new technology from a long-standing aviation connectivity provider to our King Air customers around the world”, said Rob Reed, Stevens’ Director of Avionics. FAA-PMA kits are in stock and ready for immediate shipment. The Stevens STC for installation of Gogo’s Galileo HDX system for King Air 200/300 is also immediately available.

The Gogo Galileo HDX antenna delivers speeds of up to 60 Mbps down and 11 Mbps up “globally” backed by Eutelsat-
OneWeb’s Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) enterprise-grade satellite network. Stevens witnessed these speeds during a delivery flight with a full cabin of users and a multitude of devices performing unlimited activities. All devices were loading theeurosigns@mac.com system with heavy streaming and other high-bandwidth activities and experienced seamless
smooth connectivity with no buffering. High-speed connectivity is also available while the aircraft is still on the ground “anywhere in the world” as opposed to waiting until the aircraft is in the air as with their current non-satellite systems.

Gogo Galileo can be added to any existing Gogo AVANCE system with minimal disruption to the aircraft for operators who need connectivity when flying outside of North American ground coverage (over the Gulf of America for example). Through the Gogo AVANCE platform and integration with the Galileo HDX, operators gain access to a suite of built-in digital cabin services. These include advanced features such as a real-time 3D moving map, as well as onboard entertainment powered by Gogo Vision, enabling passengers to stream movies, TV shows, and other content directly to their personal devices without relying solely on external bandwidth. Gogo also prioritizes cybersecurity and privacy for every customer.

The Stevens Gogo Galileo HDX installation STC includes the Beechcraft King Air 200 and 300 series aircraft models equipped with various avionics suite configurations. The STC also includes Wi-Fi activation to complete the package for ease of installation and lower installation costs. Finally, the FAA-approved STC will include EASA, TCCA, and ANAC Brazil validations (in-work as of this release) in Europe, Canada, and Brazil respectively and is available for sale now as a full installation at our facilities or as an “authorization to use the STC” by other Gogo authorized dealers.
