Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems, LLC (Stevens) is pleased to announce that they have been granted PMA (FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval) to manufacture wire harnesses for the King Air 200/B200 aircraft being retrofitted with the Garmin G1000 NXi Integrated Flight Deck. This award allows Stevens to manufacture and sell these wire harnesses to third-party installers with an 8130-3 authorized release certificate airworthiness approval tag and assures a high level of repeatable quality. Stevens has a long and proven history in this segment. They have been assembling and installing airframe wiring harnesses for internal government and civilian projects for more than 70 years on a wide variety of installations, from complete flight decks to in-flight entertainment and cabin control systems. This has been accomplished at their three MRO locations and at their dedicated wire harness assembly facility located at their Greenville, S.C. MRO. “These new capabilities demonstrate Stevens’ commitment to providing aerospace solutions to the highest level of quality”, said Rob Reed, Director of Aircraft Modification Programs at Stevens. “We also recently obtained IPC 620 Certification from the Wire Harness Manufacturing Association, further demonstrating our depth of commitment to this segment of the aerospace industry”.
