Some people find a job. Denise DeYoung Campbell found a home.
With a career that spans decades, Denise is more than just the Design Manager at Stevens Aerospace—she’s part of its history, its fabric, and its heart. Her journey began straight out of high school, and what started as an entry-level opportunity quickly evolved into a lifelong passion for aircraft interior design and customer experience.
“I grew up here,” Denise says with a smile. “I met my husband while working here, we raised our family during my time at Stevens, and now, all these years later, I’m still here doing what I love.”
“It’s a very personal process,” Denise explains. “You get to know the customer, their preferences, their lifestyle. Then you create something that not only looks great but functions beautifully. That’s where the real satisfaction is.”
Over the years, Denise has witnessed the evolution of aircraft interiors
And while she’s proud of the aircraft she’s helped transform, it’s the people at Stevens who’ve kept her here the longest. “This place is like family,” she says. “We’ve been through a lot together, and there’s this shared commitment to the customer and to each other. That’s hard to find—and harder to leave.”
As Denise continues shaping the look and feel of Stevens’ interiors, her legacy is already woven into the company’s culture. She’s helped define what excellence in aircraft design means at Stevens—and she’s not done yet.
Thank you, Denise, for the years of creativity, commitment, and heart you’ve brought to every design and every customer. You are what makes Stevens, Stevens.
